I've decided to move my log here, so I will be backdating some of the posts in order for all of my journal entries to be in the same place. This is the end of my third week of mentoring.
I met with Dr. Bradley today to go over some of the things that he plans on asking for my oral exam next week. It's intimidating to think that I'll be asked about material from the past five years, but Dr. Bradley was very encouraging. He made it seem like, after this last week of studying, the exam will actually end up being kind of fun. He described it as a chance to discuss topics that I'm passionate about with people who care about the same subjects. I hope it ends up being a good experience, and that however nervous I feel, I'm able to look back on it knowing that I tried my best.
After the meeting, I went over the library to see Cameron, and while I was there, he found out that he got into the MBA program at Baylor! I'm so proud of him! He was worried that his GRE score wouldn't be high enough (even though he did great), or that his interview hadn't go well (even though it sounded like it went great) - but everything turned out great! I'm so thankful that God has opened this door for Cameron, so all his hard work can be affirmed and so he can see that others believe in him, too. He is such a great businessperson, and I'm excited that he's going to be able to learn more about the subjects he's passionate about, too. I can't wait to what his first semester will be like, and what God has in store for him as he starts this next chapter of his life! :)
My book for this week was The Crowd, The Critic, and The Muse by Gungor. I'll post my reflective review in another log entry.
I'm going to study some more until Cameron gets off work, so see you tomorrow!
